Bosch Alternator Kit for Toyota 1JZ & 2JZ Specifications

Original Toyota alternators today have two major disadvantages:

• They are getting older, alternators on 1JZ and 2JZ have more than 20 years old, sometimes up to 30 years old and often hundreds of thousands of kilometers. Their reliability becomes critical, Toyota does not make them anymore and the aftermarket offers only very few opportunities.
• Their amperage, usually between 40 and 60A, is insufficient nowadays for modified vehicles equipped with electric accessories such as high flow fuel pumps, high performance ignition, electric water pumps and fans, modern PDM and ECU, car audio...

Attention, regarding installation on 2JZ: there exists 3 types of oil pan on Toyota 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines, modifying the attachment points of the alternator. If you have an oil sump at the front of the block, this Bosch alternator kit can be installed without additional accessory. However, if you have a rear sump oil pan (see photo), you will need to order the extra Lower Bracket for "Rear Sump Oil Pan" Type Installation above. Generally, the Supra, SC300 and Soarer have a rear sump oil pan. The IS300, GS300 and Aristo often have the front sump oil pan. However, the share is very random and the swaps are numerous. It is not possible to rely 100% to the car model to determine the type of oil pan you have: please always check the vehicle before placing an order.

This kit is compatible with all 1JZ-GE, 1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-GE & 2JZ-GTE engines on all Toyota and Lexus models (Altezza, IS300, Aristo, GS300, Crown, Chaser, Soarer, Supra ...), as well as swaps. It is also available for Nissan RB and SR engines.

Please note, this kit is supplied without belt but is 100% compatible with your current belt.
